Project Manager

Eniko Simon

Making waves at PFM since November 2018

What’s your day-to-day like at PFM?

As a project manager I’m responsible for the successful execution of several different projects; this includes site surveys, arranging visits by raising permits, instruct the engineers on the works and support them whilst on site when needed. Once a project is complete, I would create site documents, have the devices validated and update our internal platform ready for the handover to service. At any given time I have at least 20 live projects varying from one camera installations to more complex works, such as shopping centres and Network Rail stations. Some projects are easy and handed over quickly, however some can take months or even years to complete for various reasons so as a project manager the most important thing is to manage your time efficiently and be organised.

What makes PFM a great place to work?

No two projects are the same and you never know what lands in your inbox that day which makes things interesting. I love my job and I take pride in all projects I close. PFM is a great place to works, we have regular staff events, fundraisings and various activities. I enjoy site visits and meeting clients face to face as I feel this provides a more personal service to our customers. I’ve been working at PFM for nearly 7 years now and learned a lot already but as technology improves we find ourselves with new challenges all the time which I love.

What’s the main thing you’re working on right now?

I have several Network Rail projects ongoing, and installation at the famous Gretna Green (yes, where all the weddings happen!) and also some Casino installs. As I mentioned, no two projects are the same.
