Operations manager
Zara Malik
Making waves at PFM since May 2016
What’s your day-to-day all about, at PFM?
In my role at PFM, I am responsible for overseeing daily operations in the UK, managing projects, engineering, service, and logistics. Prioritising operational efficiency across all departments is a key focus. Additionally, I play a crucial role in enhancing and streamlining processes, actively engaging with client feedback, and collaborating in meetings alongside our Customer Success Director.
What makes PFM a great place to work in your book?
Being a part of PFM is truly like being a part of a family, the days are never short of laughter, and genuinely we have a lovely working environment. It is rare in any business to say that all Directors are approachable and personable, but at PFM, our Directors truly engage with the teams, and it is evident you are not just a number in the business.
What’s the main thing you’re currently working on?
I am currently involved in the global launch of an innovative engineering planning tool seamlessly integrated with our CRM system. The primary objective is to enhance the efficiency of engineer resource planning. The introduction of our Field Service tool not only addresses the current duplication issues within our working processes but also promises to elevate overall team productivity.
Extra: fun quote/ learning / other topic to share/ About me:
My career at PFM has brought me a wealth of knowledge and experience in planning and organising which doesn’t come to a stop when I leave the office. Amongst my friends and family I’m the dedicated project manager for arranging events and holidays.
My passion lies with travelling as much as I can. Of course, for all my colleagues that know me will know the place that always comes in at number 1 is Dubai (the aim is for PFM to open an office in the UAE and send me over there) But I always like to travel to new countries, experiencing and embracing the culture and hopefully seeing some history along the way.
I’m also kept busy with two fur babies (a cat and dog) which I sometimes bring into the office when I have childcare issues.
